Through
Career Training
Black6 provides a modelling product where real hardware is modelled and engineered into
the virtual environments allowing for an increase in immersion between the virtual
environment and simulation hardware.
Black6 aims to create hardware to be used to recreate a tactile feel, life-like
environment to build muscle memory.
Blackbox
Learning Management
The B6 Black Box is the first Virtual Learner Management (VLMS) System; designed from
the ground up to offer unparalleled immersive learning. Black Box integrates and makes
effective use of the Prepar3D, unity, unreal and other engine platforms; with the added
availability of cooperative course and assessment creation of both 2d and 3d virtual
objects or materials within the experience.
The BlackBox makes intelligent use of your learners' data through Black6 DNA, a custom
artificial intelligence (A.I) cluster to provide dynamic learning environments and
individualised student tracking.
The VLMS environment acts as the main portal or frontend for the Black6 TLA Learner
profiles are ingested and attached to user registrations. Any actions taken in or out of
the Black Box system are viewable as history.
Studios
Next-Generation Engine
B6 Studios is a Learner Content Management System (LCMS) and is integrated with the B6
Blackbox. It includes up to fifty different types of courseware, learning and assessment
design and creation including 2D and 3D virtual objects.
In the Black6 Learning ecosystem, the LCMS and VLMS (Black Box) are essentially
synonymous. Their core difference lies in their implementation as
determined by the end user. The LCMS was designed specifically with the content creators
in mind.
The design paradigms of the LCMS are there to create an environment where an
administrator or educator can administrate, author and then deliver learning content.
This extends to the creation of parameters used within external learning environments,
i.e., Flight Visual Database generators. The LCMS is multi-user by nature and integrated
with the TLA to act as the main content creation frontend for the Architecture.
Black6 Virtual Studios team also develops bespoke mixed reality training and assessment
solutions including virtual lessons, assessments and instructors.
TLA
Total Learning Architecture
Learner Record Store (LRS) / Data Lake
The Total Learning Architecture is a collection of specifications for accessing and making use of learning-related data. The B6 Blackbox acts as the main portal or frontend for the TLA. The LRS provides a large storage mechanism for xAPI data and learning profiles. This is a fluid store of the data and can be ingested by multiple LMS, Machine Learning or other analytics platforms. Our LRS can function in a multitude of environments, ranging from typical relational database storage to more modern implementations of data lakes. We offer this flexible to more easily yet securely expose LRS experience data to Machine Learning systems. As more data is processed, the models that control the AI grow more confident and can be utilized more regularly to provide dynamic training with expected learning outcomes.
Experience Application Programming Interface (XAPI)
The xAPI lies at the core of Black6's implementation of the TLA. The primary function is to track experiences of learners in easy machine-readable JSON. This allows for the monitoring of learner activities and in combination with the Learning Record Store (LRS), transmission across multiple LMS and the learner's career. xAPI data is most ofen stored to Cmi5 specifications. The profiles are also limited to controlled vocabularies within domain specific context. The learner event tracking follows the Master Object Model (MOM). This culminates in providing more holistic evidence of the learner's performance and history. Data is transmitted using a messenger service known as Apache Kafka. Using a binary protocol over a transmission control protocol connection to define all API requests as their message pairs. REST is also used where appropriate. Black6 uses a number of visual data bases, which allows organisations to minimise build costs through utilising Black6's virtual environment and 3D models under a licensing agreement. With a fully integrated TLA system powered by a Black6's VLMS allows for an immersive, flexible, fair, reliable, and dynamic learning pathways model that provides organisations with a responsive system to understand an individual learner's educational needs, trends and outcomes.
Cybersecurity
9214.4.2 - xAPI Technical Implementation Standards in Cybersecurity The cybersecurity standard for xAPI implementation describes how Black6 implements the TLA and other implementations. We follow similar standard for the Black6 VLMS and Black6 TLA. Black6 implements the standards for the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification 2.0 within our systems. Security and privacy of data is paramount in protecting Australia's interests. To ensure data is secure, we implement DPU encryption (hardware level) for all data storage. This data encryption most commonly takes place directly on the NIC. In addition, we implement the NIST standards for cybersecurity detailed in NIST SP 800-171 and a small subset from NIST SP 800-172.
DNA
individualised AI
B6 DNA uses a combination of intelligence analytics and machine learning to implement
actionable insights from behavioural data. We analyse and detect standard operational
patterns from behavioural data analysis systems. Initially boundaries are set based on
presumed behavioural historical data. The machine learning systems split the data into
units and set bias against the data using statistical analysis coefficients.
A waveform is then generated for each behavioural pattern. The machine learning systems
then re-evaluate data based on the input waveforms and generate new models. These are
compared regularly to operation patterns. Non standardized behaviour can then be easily
detected and used to provide more accurate behavioural analysis in future exercises.
This analysis is generally performed in seconds and can always be monitored form the
data analytics dashboards.
These data points are used to develop future supervised and non-supervised machine
learning classifiers. These can be integrated with the VLMS to provide AI tutoring or
assessment. We use a combined approach in these activities to score ethologically valid
behaviours with strong relational coefficients to positive learning outcomes. Multiple
implementations of machine learning systems make up the core of our MLops systems.
Accurate analysis of learner data is imperative in reaching positive learning outcomes
with a high efficacy rate. This allows learners to provide high-throughput behavioural
analysis while still maintaining a high degree of flexibility. The goal is to provide
supplemental domain parameters to educators without overwhelming the system or user with
analytical data.
Unsupervised systems provide deep analysis and pattern discovery that can later be
utilized in traditional supervised CCN AI systems. The goal of the MLops suite is to
provide a highly extensible and easily administered neural training platform to
recognise a host of visual, motion and vocal behavioural patterns. Many of these systems
are nearing near human level accuracy with a much greater data throughput than human
educators.
